Fyi, Autos - Vintage Autos or many who say retro cars may not be seen a lot on the highway. Naturally, when compared with the features of today's vehicles, the features of these old cars are less qualified. Some say that the old car overheats quickly, the air conditioner is not cold enough or there is no power steering and the features are still manual.

Vintage Autos Even though it lacks features, or lacks a lot, that doesn't mean this retro-style car doesn't have fans. Occasionally there are also cars in the 70s or 80s milling about, and immediately make a lot of people glance. Understandably, their rare existence on the highway is like entertainment for us (or me ) who are bored with the same car.

Well, of the many old or retro-style cars, there are several types that people are most interested in. Here, I try to collect 10 types of cars from the early 90s and below that are still in great demand and roam the streets with their retro style.

Toyota Corolla DX KE70

The favorite is the first series in 1980, because it is unique with 4 round headlights.

This car was issued from the early 1980s to late 1983. Having rear-wheel drive and carrying the K-series engine that is widely used by the Kijang family, is the reason why this car is in demand. But other than that, this Corolla DX car model also does show its own retro aura.

For the released models, if I'm not mistaken there are 4 models released since the beginning of its launch. But the favorite is the first series in 1980, because it is unique with 4 round headlights. Meanwhile, what is in demand in the last series, or 1983+ is said to be, is because the model is a bit longer. In my opinion, so it is somewhat similar to American cars.

Mitsubishi Lancer SL

The advantages are 1400cc, using a 5 speed transmission (6 if with rear) and already has a tilt steering feature. Not bad for an old car, right?

I don't really understand the series and type of this car. But according to several articles that contain news about the Lancer SL, reportedly this car always competes with the Toyota Corolla DX in the market. The shape of this SL car is also quite interesting in my opinion, and honestly I always like it when I see a Lancer SL that is very well built and brings out a retro feel.

Some of the advantages of the Lancer SL if I'm not mistaken are the fairly large cc (1400cc), using a 5 speed transmission (6 if with rear) and already has a tilt steering feature. Not bad for an old car, right?

The 30th Toyota Corolla / 20th

Corolla was in the 70s and many indonesian people call it Corbet (Corolla Betawi), for some reason I also don't know. The shape of this car is quite small and attractive. People also like it because of the machines that have abundant spare parts (K Series), as well as the large enough community of the Classic Corolla.

Daihatsu Charmant

One of the retro cars that I think has its own uniqueness. Even though he has the Daihatsu brand, if you look at the engine, it turns out that this long sedan already carries a Toyota 4A series engine (not 4AGE yes :D). So the availability of spare parts, their stubbornness and performance are guaranteed. The features are also quite complete, AC, PS, Central Lock and there is a cooling slot for 1 drink can. Yup, there's a fridge!

But despite being rich in features, for some reason this Daihatsu Charmant is fairly rare, and the price is quite cheap. Maybe because of the price tag of Daihatsu's name which was less well known in his era?

Toyota Starlet

The old version of toyota starlet still being hunted

If this one car is sure to say it's less retro because there are still many and the model is also modern. But what I mean is not the 90s Capsule Starlet, but the 80s Starlet which is still boxy. Yes, the old version of this car is also still being hunted because of its really retro shape!

Honda Civic 1st Gen

Honda Civic started with the 1st Gen 2-door Coupe that looks really retro

If you see a car with the same name today, surely you (especially those who are still teenagers) will not think that the evolution of the cool Honda Civic started with the 1st Gen 2-door Coupe that looks really retro. Because of its unique appearance and I think it's a bit 'cute', this retro car is getting more and more sought after by people. If I'm not mistaken, there is an advertisement for packaged tea that uses this type of car in a fully restored condition in super smooth condition!

BMW 318 E30

BMW 318 E30 actually has a very thick retro feel

Perhaps among the retro-styled cars above, this BMW is the youngest and the only one that is not a Japanese manufacturer. This car was marketed in the late 80's to early 90's. Despite having a relatively young year, this car actually has a very thick retro feel. Not only the shape of the car, but also the headlights with 4 round lights are really cool!

Well, I think that's some retro cars that are currently being hunted by a lot of people. Actually there are many more, for example Crown, Cressida, Galant, Datsun or also those from America and Europe such as Fiat, Holden or even VW. But I'm worried that the post will be too long.

How about you, what's your favorite retro car?
